
Dr. Ali Ebadi
Advisor to Board of Directors
MEASAT
Dr. Ali R. Ebadi is MEASAT’s Advisor to the Board of Directors. In this role, he advises on MEASAT’s overall orbital slot development strategy. He also assists in the management of the spectrum needs and filing process for future MEASAT satellites.
Dr. Ali has more than 30 years of experience in the satellite industry. He was in charge of the design and procurement of the six spacecraft in MEASAT’s satellite fleet. He was also a member of the ITU’s Radio Regulations Board (RRB) from 2006 to 2014, and its Vice Chairman and Chairman in 2008 and 2009, respectively. He is also an Editor of ITU handbook on small satellites.
He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with the Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust), Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology United Kingdom (IET) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Engineers (IEM).
