Anang Latif

President Director & CEO, BAKTI

Anang Latif has been appointed as the President Director & CEO of BAKTI (previously known as BPPPTI), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, since 2016. During his tenure, he has been handling various national strategic projects, such as Palapa Ring Project (submarine fiber-optic backbone networks, with total length of around 12,000 km and connecting 80 cities/region), Government Multifuction Satellite Project, The Development of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in 5000 rural and border villages, and also Internet Access Provision in 4000 locations. Now BAKTI is preparing a provision of Broadband high throughput satellite project, Indonesian first government-owned satellite, aiming to reach almost 150,000 government units including schools and small hospital.
